• Damask Cover. A quality damask cover with a micro quilted finish, which secures the cover to the surface layers beneath it. In practice that means a smooth, even sleeping surface with fillings held firmly in place.
• White Fibre Fillings. A lightweight, high loft fibre that retains its shape over time, which means less of the dipping you can get with softer fillings. It's also hypo-allergenic, a plus for allergy-prone sleepers.
• Open Coil Springs. Hourglass shaped springs connected into one single unit by a spiral helical wire. This gives a firm, traditional feel, although it does mean movement transfers across the mattress more than with pocket springs, so it suits solo sleepers best.
• Wire Edge Border. A thick rod edge wire attached to the perimeter of the spring unit, which means you get full use of the mattress width. It also helps prevent the border breaking down where you sit or roll near the edge.
