Key benefits
- Real space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, a UK king gives each of you close to a single bed's worth of room.
- A step up from the UK double: The UK king is 15cm wider than the UK double, which sounds small on paper but is the difference between touching elbows and turning over freely.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, this size stops feet reaching the footboard, a genuine relief if one of you is approaching six foot.
- Less partner disturbance: More width means each movement happens further from your side of the bed, useful when one of you gets up hours before the other.
- Fits a normal master bedroom: We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m, achievable in most UK master bedrooms without giving up wardrobe space.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double leaves you cramped, one of you keeps waking the other with early alarms or restless nights, or a taller partner needs the extra 200cm length. It also suits couples in the months around pregnancy, when propping pillows and shifting position takes up more room than usual.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK double for tighter rooms, and if space allows and a pet routinely claims part of the bed, the UK super king would suit you better.

FAQ's
Is a UK king Highgrove Twin Comfort big enough for a couple?
Yes, for most couples comfortably. At 150 x 200cm, or 5ft x 6ft 6in, it gives 75cm each for two people sharing, noticeably more than a double. If one of you is a very restless sleeper or a dog shares the bed most nights, the UK super king is the roomier option.
Will the UK king fit in my bedroom?
We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can still open drawers and walk around the bed. That guidance is ours rather than Highgrove's. New build master bedrooms often look bigger than they measure once fitted wardrobes go in, so tape it out on the floor before ordering.
Is the UK king better than the double for a tall sleeper?
Usually, yes. The UK king is 200cm long, while a UK double is 190cm, and that extra length is often the real reason taller sleepers upgrade rather than the width. If either of you is around six foot or over, the UK king removes the feet-off-the-end problem.
How does the UK king compare to the other Highgrove Twin Comfort sizes?
The UK king is 15cm wider than the UK double, 30cm wider than the UK small double and 30cm narrower than the UK super king. Length matters too: at 200cm it shares the extra length of the UK super king, while the smaller sizes are 190cm long.
Where can I buy the Highgrove Twin Comfort in a UK king?
