Layer Details
- Microquilted cover. A micro-quilted cover gives the surface a smooth, soft finish. It's the first thing you'll feel when you lie down.
- Soft White Fibres. Soft synthetic fillings sit just beneath the cover, which means a cosy, cushioned initial feel.
- Bamboo Memory Foam. A plush layer of bamboo memory foam moulds around your body. This is where the pressure relief comes from, particularly at the hips and shoulders.
- High density foam. A layer of high density foam adds durable comfort and motion isolation. In practice, that means less disturbance when a partner moves.
- Pocket Springs. 2000 pocket springs, each enclosed in its own fabric pocket, respond individually to your weight. An additional layer of 1000 mini springs brings the total to 3000.
- Reinforced foam border. A thick foam border runs around the edge to stop it sagging. Helpful if you tend to sleep near the side of the bed.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Proper space for two: At 150 x 200cm you get 75cm each for two people sharing, which means fewer accidental elbows in the small hours.
- Movement stays on one side: The 2000 pocket springs respond individually, so a partner getting up early on a different schedule is less likely to shake your side of the bed.
- Length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK Double as well as 15cm wider, a genuine relief if either of you is nearing six foot.
- Support across the full width: With 3000 springs in total across a 150cm width, the mattress adapts to two different body weights rather than settling into one shared dip.
- Usable edges matter more at this size: The reinforced foam border is designed to keep the sides from sagging, useful when a dog claims the middle and pushes you towards the edge.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel tight, one of you is tall enough to appreciate the extra 10cm of length over a UK Double, or you sleep on different schedules and want the motion isolation of the foam layer spread across a width where you can genuinely keep to your own side.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK king. The UK Double is 15cm narrower and needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m, so we'd recommend that size instead for a snug room.

Is the Horizon Eclipse 3000 in a UK king big enough for a couple?
Yes, comfortably for most. The UK king gives 75cm each for two people sharing, and the pocket springs respond to each sleeper individually, so a heavier and lighter partner both get support suited to their weight. If a dog routinely joins you and takes more than its share, the UK super king is the roomier option.
What room size do I need for the Horizon Eclipse 3000 UK king?
We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m. That allows walking space around the bed rather than just fitting the frame in. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they first appear once wardrobes go in, so measure the usable floor, not the room on the plan, before committing to a 150 x 200cm mattress.
Should I choose the UK king or UK super king in this mattress?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king, and the two are the same length. If you share with a pet or simply want maximum space and your room meets the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for the UK super king, size up. For most couples the UK king is the better balance of space and room demands.
Will a UK king suit a tall sleeper on this mattress?
At 200cm long, the UK king gives 10cm more length than the UK Double, which stops taller sleepers' feet hanging over the end. Anyone approaching six foot tends to feel that difference nightly. Sizing up to the UK super king adds width only, so for height alone the UK king is enough.
Does this mattress in a king reduce partner disturbance?
It helps, on two fronts. The high density foam layer absorbs movement, and the extra width means you're further from a restless partner in the first place. If one of you leaves hours before the other, that combination makes the early alarm easier to sleep through, although no mattress removes disturbance entirely.
