Microquilted cover
A micro-quilted cover gives the surface a smooth, soft finish. It's the first thing you'll feel when you lie down.
Soft White Fibres
Soft synthetic fillings sit just beneath the cover, which means a cosy, cushioned initial feel.
Bamboo Memory Foam
A plush layer of bamboo memory foam moulds around your body. This is where the pressure relief comes from, particularly at the hips and shoulders.
High density foam
A layer of high density foam adds durable comfort and motion isolation. In practice, that means less disturbance when a partner moves.
Pocket Springs
2000 pocket springs, each enclosed in its own fabric pocket, respond individually to your weight. An additional layer of 1000 mini springs brings the total to 3000.
Reinforced foam border
A thick foam border runs around the edge to stop it sagging. Helpful if you tend to sleep near the side of the bed.

- Fits where bigger sizes can't: At 90cm wide, it slots into a child's room alongside a wardrobe and desk, or under the slope of a loft conversion where only a narrow footprint works.
- Supportive feel for growing sleepers: The medium firm rating gives children and teenagers a stable, supportive surface rather than a soft one they sink into.
- Edge support matters more at 3ft: The reinforced foam border helps keep the full 90cm usable, which counts on a single where there's less width to retreat into.
- A sensible guest room choice: Two UK singles can fit a spare room where one larger bed wouldn't, and single bedding is the cheapest and easiest to find.
- Works on raised frames, with a check: The 90 x 190cm footprint matches standard bunk, cabin and mid sleeper frames, though the 27cm depth means checking guard rail height first.
This size suits you if...
You're buying for a child or teenager and the bed has to share the room with storage and a desk, you sleep alone and want a supportive hybrid without paying for width you won't use, or you're setting up a spare room or a study that doubles as guest space.
Consider another size if...
You're an adult who shares the bed, or you find 90cm restricts how much you move at night. We'd recommend the UK double instead, and suggest allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m of floor space for it.

What size is the Horizon Eclipse 3000 in a UK single?
The UK single measures 90 x 190cm, or 3ft x 6ft 3in. It's the standard one-person size in the UK, so any single bed frame, fitted sheet or duvet will match it. We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space so you can still open drawers and move around comfortably.
Will the Horizon Eclipse 3000 UK single fit a bunk bed or mid sleeper?
The 90 x 190cm footprint matches standard UK bunk, cabin and mid sleeper frames. The thing to check is depth: at 27cm, this is a fairly tall mattress, and some raised frames need a shallower one so the guard rail still sits safely above the sleeping surface. Measure the rail height before buying.
Is the Horizon Eclipse 3000 single a good choice for a child or teenager?
The medium firm feel suits growing sleepers who need support rather than a soft, sink-in surface, and the high density foam layer means less bounce and disturbance. It's single-sided, so a monthly rotation rather than a flip keeps wear even. Lighter children may find it a little solid at first while the memory foam softens in.
Should I size up from the UK single to the UK small double?
The UK single is 30cm narrower than the UK small double, and the two are the same length. If you're a solo adult who moves around a lot at night, that extra width is noticeable. You'll need more floor space, though: we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for the UK small double.
