- Memory foam. Premium memory foam that hugs your body as you settle in, which means pressure is eased away from joints like hips and shoulders. It gives that classic slow-sinking feel rather than a springy bounce.
Layer details from nectarsleep.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 90cm each, every night: Two sharers get 90cm of width apiece, which means you can both spread out properly rather than negotiating the middle.
- Distance plus memory foam: Memory foam absorbs movement rather than bouncing it across the bed, and at this width a restless partner is a long way away anyway.
- Room for the whole household: When children or a large dog treat your bed as theirs, 180cm of width means everyone still gets a workable share.
- A clear step up from the UK king: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king at the same length, giving each sharer 15cm more space.
- Fills a large master properly: In a period property or generous main bedroom, a smaller mattress can look lost; this one sits in proportion with the room.
- Pressure relief across the full width: The memory foam moulds to hips and shoulders wherever you end up lying, so the extra space is all usable sleeping surface.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed and one of you moves around a lot, since the combination of 90cm each and motion-absorbing memory foam keeps disturbance to a minimum. It also suits you if children or pets regularly join you at night, or if you have a large master bedroom where a smaller mattress would look undersized. Allow at least 3m x 2.9m of floor space.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than 3m x 2.9m, or you'd rather keep more walking space around the bed. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it still gives 75cm each for two sharing, and we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for it.

What size room do I need for the Nectar Classic in a UK super king?
We suggest a minimum of 3m x 2.9m, which is our own guidance rather than Nectar's. That allows the 180 x 200cm mattress plus enough room to walk round both sides and open drawers. In a loft conversion, measure carefully: the slope often decides which wall the bed can go against.
Is the UK super king worth it over the UK king for this mattress?
If you have the room, usually yes. The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king at the same length, which works out at 15cm more width each for two sharing, 90cm rather than 75cm. That gap is most noticeable if one of you is broad-shouldered or a sprawler. In a tighter room, the UK king is the sensible pick.
Is a super king memory foam mattress good for a restless partner?
It's one of the better pairings. Memory foam like the Nectar Classic's absorbs movement rather than transferring it, and the 90cm of width each on a UK super king adds physical distance on top. Between the two, a partner who turns over frequently becomes far easier to sleep through.
Will the Nectar Classic super king work if children or pets share the bed?
This is the size we'd point families towards. At 180cm wide there's room for a child who wanders in at 3am, or a large dog with a fixed spot, without either adult being pushed to the edge. The memory foam also cushions each sleeper individually, so a small body climbing in causes less disturbance.
How does the UK super king compare with the UK double for two sharing?
The UK super king is 45cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double. Per person, the UK double gives 67.5cm each, so the UK super king gives 22.5cm more each. That's the difference between sleeping shoulder to shoulder and each having your own clear territory, provided your room can take the larger footprint.
