Layer Details
- Soft, cooling cover. A zip-off, washable cover with Stratos tech that prevents heat build-up, which means you can keep it fresh without wrestling the whole mattress. Hot sleepers should notice the difference on warm nights.
- Bamboo infused wool layer. British wool infused with moisture-wicking bamboo for better breathability. Wool naturally regulates temperature, so this layer helps in winter as well as summer.
- Fresh Simbatex foam layer. Simba's own foam with enhanced airflow and superior elasticity, which means cushioning that springs back quickly rather than leaving you feeling stuck.
- Two layers of Aerocoil springs. A double layer of patented microsprings arranged in thirteen supportive zones. These target parts of the body with specific needs, like your back, hips and shoulders.
- Stabilising core foam layer. A CertiPUR foam layer that provides structural support and extra airflow. It keeps the layers above it working consistently.
- Micro spring support layer. An extra layer of up to 900 high carbon steel microsprings for maximum support. This is where the mattress earns its medium-firm side.
- SupportCore sprung base. Up to 1,000 pocketed, tempered steel barrel springs giving firm, edge-to-edge support with no roll-off. That means you can use the full width of the bed, right to the edge.
- High-density foam base and cover. CertiPUR foam with a breathable cover made from recycled yarn. It gives the whole mattress its stability.

For most couples, yes. The UK double gives 67.5cm each for two people sharing, and because the sprung base supports right to the edge, you can use all of that width. Restless sleepers, or anyone used to a UK king, may find it a little snug, but for a typical UK bedroom it's the sensible balance.

In most rooms, yes. The mattress is 135 x 190cm, and we suggest a room of at least 2.6m x 2.8m. That allowance covers a table on each side plus space to open drawers and doors. In a compact second bedroom or first flat, measure the wall the bed sits against before committing.
Should I buy the Simba Hybrid Luxe in a double or a king?
Go by the room first. The UK double is 15cm narrower than the UK king, which is often the difference between fitting a wardrobe and blocking it. If you have around 3m x 3m to play with and share the bed, the UK king gives each of you noticeably more space. Tighter than that, take the UK double.
Is the Simba Hybrid Luxe double difficult to get upstairs?
It's a heavy, 31cm-deep mattress, so allow two people and check your access before delivery day. Turning stairs in older terraces and tight new build landings are the usual pinch points.
