- Cool-touch knitted cover. A knitted cover with a cool-touch finish, proven to reduce body temperature. You'll feel it most when you first get into bed, when a warm surface is at its most noticeable.
- Built-in topper. A topper filled with mini springs and super soft memory foam, stitched into the mattress itself. This gives you the plush, cushioned first impression of a topper without a separate purchase.
- Dreamzone gel foam. Profiled, body-contouring gel foam that helps relieve pressure and draws heat away from your body. It cradles pressure points, which means less of the pins-and-needles feeling side sleepers sometimes get.
- Pocket springs and mini springs. Pocket springs and mini springs that adjust independently for optimal support. Because each spring moves on its own, you're less likely to feel a partner shifting during the night.

- Room left for a desk: At 3ft x 6ft 3in, the UK single leaves space for a desk, wardrobe or storage in a small bedroom, which matters when a teenager's room also has to be a study.
- A cooler surface for warm teens: The cool-touch knitted cover and heat-drawing gel foam suit a teenager who kicks off the duvet every night, which means less waking up overheated.
- Topper comfort for a spare room: The built-in topper gives guests a cushioned first feel on a UK single, so a box room or study bed doesn't need a separate topper added.
- Pressure relief on a narrow bed: Contouring gel foam eases hips and shoulders for side sleepers, which helps on a 90cm width where there's less room to shift position.
- Suits a room under a sloping ceiling: The narrow UK single footprint sits easily in a loft conversion, tucked under the slope where a wider bed would leave you short of headroom.
This size suits you if...
You sleep alone and want a cooler, cushioned surface without giving up floor space, or you're furnishing a teenager's room or a spare room where the bed has to share space with a desk or a wardrobe.
Consider another size if...
You're an adult who sprawls, or you often have company in bed. We'd recommend the UK small double instead: it's 30cm wider, and we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for it.

Will the Sleepeezee SensaGel 9000 UK single fit a bunk or cabin bed?
Possibly, but check first. At 32cm deep, the UK single is deeper than many mattresses sold for raised frames, and bunk, cabin and mid-sleeper beds usually set a maximum mattress depth so the guard rail stays high enough. Check the frame manufacturer's limit before ordering; if the SensaGel 9000 exceeds it, choose a shallower mattress for that bed.
What size room do I need for a SensaGel 9000 UK single?
We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space for a UK single. That leaves room to walk around the bed and open drawers, even with a desk or chest in the room. If you're fitting two UK singles side by side for siblings or guests, allow extra space for a walkway between them.
Is a UK single SensaGel 9000 long enough for a tall adult?
The UK single is 190cm long, the same length as the UK small double and the UK double. If your feet already reach the end of a standard bed, the UK king is the first size that adds length: the UK single is 10cm shorter than the UK king.
Should I buy the SensaGel 9000 in a UK single or UK small double for a teenager?
The UK single is 30cm narrower than the UK small double, and both are the same length. A UK single keeps more floor free for a desk. A UK small double gives an older teen space to grow into, but we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for that size.
Do standard single fitted sheets fit the SensaGel 9000 UK single?
Standard single sheets match the 90 x 190cm footprint, but the 32cm depth can leave a shallow fitted sheet straining at the corners. Look for single fitted sheets sold as deep or extra deep, and check the stated pocket depth before you buy.
