- Top upholstery layer. Bonded British fleece wool and cotton sit directly beneath you, which means a breathable, naturally temperature-regulating sleep surface. Wool wicks moisture away, so you should feel less clammy than on foam.
- Middle upholstery layer. A layer of British fleece wool adds cushioning depth. It softens the surface slightly without undermining the firm, stable support beneath.
- Bamboo layer. Bamboo brings extra breathability and resilience to the comfort layers. It is a naturally airy fibre, helpful if you tend to overheat at night.
- Bottom upholstery layer. Layered British fleece wool and cotton cushion the transition between you and the springs. This stops you feeling the spring unit directly while keeping the response even.
- Spring system. 1,326 hand-nested vanadium steel pocket springs, arranged in a single layer within calico pockets. Because each spring moves independently, you get support that follows your shape and less disturbance from a partner turning over.

- More room for each of you: You each get 75cm of width, which is 7.5cm more each than a UK double, so elbows and knees meet far less often through the night.
- Fewer disturbances when schedules differ: If one of you is up before dawn, the extra width plus independently moving pocket springs means the early riser can leave without jolting the other awake.

How much space do you each get on a Vispring Bedstead Realm UK king?
Two people sharing get 75cm each. That is 7.5cm more each than on the UK double, which sounds small on paper but is the difference between sleeping with a gap between you and brushing arms whenever one of you turns.
Is a UK king Vispring long enough if you're over 6ft?
The UK king is 200cm long, or 6ft 6in, which is 10cm longer than a UK double. If one of you is over six foot, that added length is often the real reason to upgrade, more so than the width.
Will a king size Vispring stop my partner waking me when they get up early?
It should help a good deal. The pocket springs move individually, so movement stays local, and the UK king's extra width puts more distance between you. A partner rising hours earlier is far less likely to disturb you than on a narrower bed.
Should we choose the Vispring king or super king?
The UK super king gives 90cm each, so the UK king gives 15cm less each. Both are the same length. The super king needs more floor, though: we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, against 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king. If your room is tight, the king is the sensible choice.
