- Top upholstery layer. Bonded British fleece wool and cotton sit directly beneath you, which means a breathable, naturally temperature-regulating sleep surface. Wool wicks moisture away, so you should feel less clammy than on foam.
- Middle upholstery layer. A layer of British fleece wool adds cushioning depth. It softens the surface slightly without undermining the firm, stable support beneath.
- Bamboo layer. Bamboo brings extra breathability and resilience to the comfort layers. It is a naturally airy fibre, helpful if you tend to overheat at night.
- Bottom upholstery layer. Layered British fleece wool and cotton cushion the transition between you and the springs. This stops you feeling the spring unit directly while keeping the response even.
- Spring system. 1,326 hand-nested vanadium steel pocket springs, arranged in a single layer within calico pockets. Because each spring moves independently, you get support that follows your shape and less disturbance from a partner turning over.

Is the Vispring Bedstead Realm super king big enough for two adults and a child?
For occasional night visits, yes. The UK super king is 180cm wide, so two adults start with 90cm each, and a small child tucked between you still leaves both of you a reasonable share. If a child sleeps with you every night into their later years, space will tighten, although no mainstream UK size is wider than this one.
Vispring super king vs king: is the extra width worth it?
If a partner's movement wakes you, usually yes. The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, giving each of you 15cm more, and both are 200cm long. If you both sleep soundly and your room is tight, the UK king is the more sensible choice and needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.
Will a restless partner still disturb me on a Vispring super king?
Less than on a narrower bed. At 90cm each, you have physical distance from a partner who tosses and turns, and the individually pocketed vanadium springs respond to each body separately rather than moving as one unit. You may still feel a heavy roll across the centre, but the width does most of the work here.
Will the Vispring Bedstead Realm super king fit my bedstead?
Measure the inside of your frame first: it needs to take a 180 x 200cm mattress, which is 6ft x 6ft 6in. Super king frames vary slightly between makers, so a snug fit matters. The mattress is 21cm deep with around 6cm of doming, so choose super king sheets deep enough to cover the domed top.
Is a super king mattress too big for a loft conversion bedroom?
It can be. We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m for a UK super king, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels comfortable. In a loft conversion the sloping ceiling often decides which wall the bed goes against, so check the full 180cm width sits under usable headroom, with space to get in and out on both sides.
