- Top upholstery layer. Hand-teased real Shetland wool blended with cashmere and mohair, which means a soft, breathable sleeping surface that helps regulate temperature. These fibres are teased by hand rather than compressed by machine, so the loft feels plush from day one.
- Middle upholstery layer. Hand-opened Austrian Moosburger® horsetail, a traditional upholstery material valued for its natural spring and airflow. It adds resilience beneath the softer top fibres, so the surface recovers quickly when you move.
- Core upholstery layer. Blended real Shetland wool and cotton, cushioning the transition between the upholstery and the springs. This layer keeps the feel consistent and stops you sensing the spring unit beneath.
- Spring layer 1. A two layer, hand-nested calico pocket spring construction using vanadium steel springs, 2,812 in total. Each spring works independently, which means support that follows your body's shape and less motion transfer to a partner.
- Base upholstery layer. Blended real Shetland wool and cotton beneath the springs, giving the unit a stable, cushioned foundation. It also protects the springs and the base of your bed from wear.
- Border. Upholstered with protective coir and wool, which means firm, durable edges that hold their shape. You should feel supported sitting or sleeping near the side rather than rolling off.

- More room each: At 75cm each for two sharing, you get 7.5cm more personal space than on a UK double, which means fewer stray elbows and knees in the small hours.
- Length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 200cm long, 10cm more than a UK double, so a partner over six foot can stretch out without their feet meeting the footboard.
- Quieter early starts: Each pocket spring moves on its own, which means the partner who gets up first should disturb the one still sleeping less than on an interconnected spring unit.
- Usable edges: The coir and wool border keeps the sides firm, so both of you can sleep out towards your own edge rather than drifting into the middle.
- Space without a huge room: We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, against 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king, so it suits more ordinary bedrooms.

Is the Vispring Magnificence king size big enough for two people?
For most couples, yes. The UK king gives 75cm each, which is 7.5cm more per person than the 67.5cm you get on a UK double. If either of you sprawls, or a dog regularly joins you, the UK super king at 90cm each would suit you better, provided your room allows it.
Is the Vispring Magnificence UK king long enough if you're over 6ft?
At 200cm (6ft 6in), the UK king is 10cm longer than a UK double, which gives a tall sleeper room to lie straight with a pillow above their head. The UK super king is the same length, so if length is your only concern, you don't need to size up beyond the UK king.
Vispring Magnificence UK king or UK super king: which should couples choose?
The UK super king gives 15cm more each but is the same length, and we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for it. The UK king needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m. If your room is tight, or you mainly want extra length over a UK double, the UK king is the sensible choice.
Will a Vispring Magnificence king fit in a new build master bedroom?
Often, but measure after fitted wardrobes and bedside tables are in, because new build rooms can feel smaller than the floor plan suggests. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king. If you fall short, the UK double at 2.6m x 2.8m is the safer fit.
Will my partner feel me move on the Vispring Magnificence king?
