Layer Details
- High Density Memory Foam. A 2.5cm layer of high density memory foam that shapes around your body to relieve built-up pressure. You'll feel a gentle cradling at your hips and shoulders rather than a deep sink.
- Reflex Foam. The 15.5cm reflex foam layer responds to changes in movement or weight, tailoring support to the places that need it most. In practice, that means a stable, springy base that stops you feeling stuck in the mattress.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Room to sleep apart, together: At 150cm wide you get 75cm each for two people sharing, which means fewer accidental elbows and more settled nights.
- Less disturbance from a restless partner: Memory foam absorbs movement rather than transferring it, and the extra width of the UK king puts more distance between you as well.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king gives anyone approaching six foot room to stretch out without their feet meeting the end of the bed.
- A budget route to a bigger bed: The Vitality's simple two-layer build keeps the cost of sizing up modest, so moving from a double is less of a financial leap here.
- Light enough to manage at this size: The 18cm depth keeps the UK king easier to rotate and make up than deeper foam mattresses, which becomes a real consideration at 150 x 200cm.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel cramped, especially if one of you gets up hours before the other and you want movement to go unnoticed. It also suits you if one partner is approaching six foot and needs the 200cm length, or your bedroom comfortably clears our suggested minimum of 2.7m x 2.9m and you want the space a UK king brings.
Consider another size if...
Your room is under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you mostly sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m and still sleeps two comfortably.

Is the Bodyshape Vitality UK king big enough for a couple?
Yes, comfortably for most. At 150 x 200cm you each get 75cm each for two people sharing, which is more personal space than a double offers. The memory foam layer also absorbs movement, so a partner turning over or getting up early is less likely to wake you than on a springier mattress.
What room size do I need for the Vitality in a UK king?
We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can walk around the bed and open wardrobe doors without shuffling sideways. Many new build master bedrooms feel roomier on the floor plan than they do once furniture is in, so measure with your wardrobes and bedside tables in place before committing.
Is the UK king Vitality long enough for a tall sleeper?
At 200cm, or 6ft 6in, the UK king gives you 10cm more length than the UK double, which is often the difference that matters if one of you is around six foot. For many taller sleepers the length, rather than the width, is the real reason to size up.
Should I get the Vitality in a UK king or a UK super king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length. If a pet routinely shares the bed or you both spread out, that width helps, but you'd need a room of at least 3m x 2.9m. For most couples the UK king is the sensible middle ground.
How heavy is the Bodyshape Vitality in a UK king?
Bodyshape doesn't publish a weight for this size. The 18cm depth does make it slimmer than many foam mattresses, so a UK king Vitality should be more manageable to rotate or move than deeper builds in the same size, though it's still a two-person job at 150 x 200cm.
