Layer Details
Premium Talalay latex
Natural latex with no artificial additives. This gives a springy, responsive comfort layer rather than the slow sink of memory foam.
Calico pocket springs
A single layer of 1760 natural calico pocket springs in the 150x200cm size, hand-nested and hand-centre-tied. That hand-tying is there to minimise movement transfer, which means a restless partner is less likely to wake you.
Cashmere and silk
Cashmere hair and silk fibres blended into a durable insulation layer. It's designed to keep the feel supportive rather than squashy.
Layers of wool
Wool blended into a blanket-like upholstery layer. Wool adds a soft, insulating finish beneath the cover.
Layer details from dunlopillo.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 90cm each, every night: Two people sharing get 90cm of width apiece, which means a restless partner can turn over without pulling you out of sleep.
- Hand-tied springs, maximum distance: The calico pocket springs are hand-nested and hand-centre-tied to limit movement transfer, and at this width you're also simply further from the source of it.
- Room for company: When a child pads in at 3am or the dog treats the bed as home, the extra 30cm over a UK king means everyone still gets a share.
- A firm edge you can use: Firmer gauge border springs keep the edge supportive, so the full 180cm of width is usable rather than a strip you roll away from.
- Natural materials at scale: Cashmere, silk, wool and additive-free Talalay latex across the largest standard UK size, backed by a 15-year guarantee.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a UK king still feels like a compromise, your partner is genuinely restless and distance matters more than any comfort layer, or children and pets regularly join you and you'd rather plan for it than fight it. It also suits a large master bedroom or period property where a smaller bed would look lost.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum for a UK super king. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower, the same length, and needs a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

How many springs does the super king Dunlopillo Elite Luxury have?
Dunlopillo's spring counts vary by size, from 1000 in a single up to 2020 in the super king. So despite the 1750 in the retailer name, the UK super king carries the highest count in the range, spread across its 180cm width.
Is the Dunlopillo Elite Luxury super king a good choice for a restless partner?
It's one of the stronger cases for this size. The calico pocket springs are hand-centre-tied specifically to reduce movement transfer, and with 90cm of width each, your partner's fidgeting happens noticeably further away. The two work together: the construction dampens the motion, the width keeps it at a distance.
How much bigger is the super king than the king in this mattress?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length at 200cm. That extra width is where the difference lives: it's roughly the gap between an adequate share of the bed and enough space to absorb a child or dog joining you.
Will the Dunlopillo Elite Luxury super king fit my bedroom?
At 180 x 200cm, we suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. Before ordering, check the door swing, landing turns and any stairway angles too: a 30cm deep mattress this wide is an awkward carry in a tight hallway.
Where can I compare prices for the Dunlopillo Elite Luxury in a super king?
Use the comparison table on this page. The prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, so it's the quickest way to see what the UK super king costs today rather than relying on a figure that may already be out of date.
