- Comfort Layer. Soft White Fibres, a synthetic filling, create the cosy top feel. They're durable and resilient, so the layer holds its shape over time rather than flattening quickly.
- Mini Pocket Springs (Top). Two layers of springs, 4000 HD and 2500 HD, sit near the surface. They give a bouncy feel and improve airflow, which means less heat building up around you overnight.
- Mini Pocket Springs (Additional). A layer of 1000 Posturfil mini pocket springs adds further cushioning. It also helps dispel moisture and heat, keeping the sleep surface fresher.
- Support Core. 1000 Advanced Cortec Quad pocket springs form the main support unit, each encased in its own fabric pocket. That means the springs respond to your body individually, supporting spinal alignment rather than pushing back as one block.
- Mini Pocket Springs (Bottom). Further layers of mini pocket springs sit beneath the core. They add a little extra give and keep air moving through the whole mattress.

- 90cm each, every night: Two sharers get 90cm of width apiece, so a partner who turns often or spreads out no longer sets the terms of your sleep.
- Distance softens motion transfer: Some owners report noticeable movement through the springs, but at this width you're usually far enough from a fidgeting partner for it to matter much less.
- Room for the whole household: When children wander in at 3am or a large dog treats the bed as routine, 180cm of width means everyone still gets a workable share.
- Soft feel, no shortage of space: The medium soft tension cushions shoulders and hips, and in a super king a side sleeper can stretch out fully without drifting into anyone.
- Airflow across a big surface: The all-spring build lets heat and moisture escape, useful when two adults, and occasionally more, are warming one mattress through the night.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a king has started to feel like a compromise, your partner is restless or you regularly wake with a child or pet between you, and your bedroom comfortably clears the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum. It's also the sensible pick for a large master or period bedroom where a smaller bed would look lost.
Consider another size if...
Your room falls short of the 3m x 2.9m we suggest, or you sleep alone and the extra width would go unused. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower, the same length, and needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

What are the dimensions of the Quilted Fusion 12000 in a UK super king?
This size measures 180 x 200cm, which is 6ft x 6ft 6in. For two people sharing, that gives 90cm of width each. The mattress itself is 28cm deep in every size, so it's the footprint, rather than the feel or the build, that changes when you size up.
How much bigger is the UK super king than the UK king in this mattress?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two sizes are the same length at 200cm. All the extra space goes into width, which is exactly where sharers feel cramped, so it's the upgrade that makes sense for couples rather than for tall sleepers.
What size room do I need for the Quilted Fusion 12000 super king?
We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m so you can still open drawers, swing the door and walk round the bed. Before ordering, measure your landing turns and doorways too: a mattress this wide is the point at which stairs and tight corners start to bite.
Is the super king a good choice if my partner is restless?
Yes, and arguably the best reason to pick it. Across owner reviews, some people mention feeling a partner's movement through the springs, so distance does more here than any comfort layer could. With 90cm each, most of their turning happens too far away to wake you.
Is this size worth it if children or pets share the bed?
If a third body arrives most nights, the UK super king is the size that absorbs it. At 180cm wide, a child between you or a dog at the foot still leaves both adults a reasonable stretch of mattress, where a UK double or UK king quickly feels crowded.
