Cover
A fine wool-viscose cover, chosen for its supreme softness. It is the first thing you feel, and it sets the gentle tone for the rest of the mattress.
Comfort fillings
Luxurious natural fillings including silk, mohair, Yorkshire wool, cotton, hemp and flax. Natural fibres like these breathe and wick moisture, which means a cooler, drier feel through the night than most synthetic foams.
Support system
10,750 pocket springs using Harrison Spinks' award-winning Cortec Quad Core spring system, with each spring nestled within a breathable fabric pocket. Springs that move independently respond to each part of your body, so a heavier hip sinks in while a lighter shoulder stays supported.

- Proper space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can both spread out on this soft, cushioned surface rather than negotiating the middle.
- Less partner disturbance: Each of the 10,750 springs sits in its own fabric pocket, which means movement on one side barely travels across the width of a UK king.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double at 200cm, a real difference if either of you is approaching six foot.
- Natural fillings across a wider bed: Wool, silk and flax breathe and wick moisture, so two bodies sharing 150cm generate less trapped heat than they would on synthetic foam.
- A sensible step below super king: You get meaningfully more room than a UK double without needing the 3m x 2.9m of floor space we suggest for a UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel cramped, especially with a softer mattress you both sink into. Or one of you keeps different hours, leaving early or coming to bed late, and you want the width and independent springs to keep that from waking the other. It also suits couples where one partner is tall enough to appreciate the 200cm length.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK king, or you sleep alone. In either case we'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Saltaire 10750 in a UK king good for couples?
Yes, and it is arguably the size this mattress makes most sense in. You get 75cm each for two people sharing, and because all 10,750 springs respond independently, a heavier partner sinking into the medium soft surface won't tilt the lighter one towards them. If you both like a gentle, cushioned feel, the UK king lets you enjoy it without crowding.
Will the king size Saltaire 10750 stop me feeling my partner move?
No mattress removes movement entirely, but this combination comes close. Pocket springs in individual fabric pockets absorb motion where it happens rather than passing it across the bed, and the UK king's 150cm width adds physical distance too. If one of you gets up hours before the other, that pairing makes an early alarm much easier to sleep through.
What room size do I need for the Saltaire 10750 UK king?
We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with more feeling comfortable once wardrobes and bedside tables go in. A new build master bedroom can be tighter than the floor plan suggests, so measure the usable space after furniture, not the bare room. If you're under that minimum, the UK double needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m and may fit better.
Is the UK king Saltaire 10750 long enough for tall sleepers?
At 200cm (5ft x 6ft 6in overall), it gives you 10cm more length than the UK double, which is often the difference between feet on the mattress and feet hanging off it. For anyone around six foot or a little over, the length is as much of an upgrade as the width. Much taller than that and you may still feel restricted.
Should I choose the UK king or the UK super king Saltaire 10750?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king; both are the same 200cm length. If your priority is length or a bit more elbow room, the UK king does the job in a smaller footprint. If you share with a dog who claims a stripe of the bed every night, and your room meets the 3m x 2.9m we suggest, the UK super king is the better buy.
