Cover
A fine wool-viscose cover, chosen for its supreme softness. It is the first thing you feel, and it sets the gentle tone for the rest of the mattress.
Comfort fillings
Luxurious natural fillings including silk, mohair, Yorkshire wool, cotton, hemp and flax. Natural fibres like these breathe and wick moisture, which means a cooler, drier feel through the night than most synthetic foams.
Support system
10,750 pocket springs using Harrison Spinks' award-winning Cortec Quad Core spring system, with each spring nestled within a breathable fabric pocket. Springs that move independently respond to each part of your body, so a heavier hip sinks in while a lighter shoulder stays supported.

- 90cm each for two people sharing: Each of you gets 90cm of width, the same as a UK single, so you can spread out without negotiating territory.
- Pocket springs keep movement local: Each of the 10,750 springs sits in its own fabric pocket, which means a partner turning over on their side barely registers on yours.
- Space for night-time visitors: If a child pads through at 3am, or the dog treats the bed as routine, 180cm of width means everyone still gets a usable share.
- Softer feel with room to move: The medium soft cushioning invites you to settle in, and the extra width means you can change position freely without drifting into your partner.
- Natural fillings across a bigger surface: Wool, silk, cotton and flax breathe well, which matters more on a large shared bed where two bodies generate the heat.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a UK king still feels like a compromise, a restless partner or early-waking child regularly cuts into your sleep, or you have a large master bedroom where a smaller bed would look lost. It also makes sense if pets or children join you often enough that spare width is a nightly need rather than a luxury.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum for this size. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it is 30cm narrower, the same length, and needs a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

What room size do I need for a super king Saltaire 10750?
We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels more comfortable once you add wardrobes and walking space. This is our own guidance rather than the manufacturer's. Measure with the door swing and any sloping ceilings in mind, as both bite at this size.
Is the super king Saltaire 10750 good for couples with a restless partner?
It is one of the stronger cases for this size. The 10,750 pocket springs move independently, so turning over transmits little motion, and with 90cm of width each you are simply further from the disturbance. Distance plus isolation does more for broken sleep than any comfort layer on a narrower bed.
How much wider is a UK super king than a UK king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length. That extra 30cm is what makes room for a child or pet without anyone ending up on the edge. The trade-off is space: the UK king needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m, against 3m x 2.9m for the super king.
Will the Saltaire 10750 super king get up my stairs?
This is a traditional pocket spring mattress, so it arrives full size rather than rolled in a box. At 6ft x 6ft 6in it is a two-person carry, and tight landing turns or narrow Victorian staircases can be a genuine obstacle. Measure the awkward points of the route before you order, and check the retailer's delivery access advice.
What bedding fits a 180 x 200cm mattress?
You need super king sheets to fit the 180 x 200cm footprint, and a 260 x 220cm duvet gives proper overhang on both sides. Bedding at this size costs more than king equivalents, so factor that into your budget alongside the mattress itself when you compare the retailers listed on this page.
