- Deep pillow top with soft knitted cover. A deep pillow top sewn beneath a soft knitted cover, which means the surface feels plush and inviting from the moment you lie down.
- Soft polyester comfort layer. A soft polyester layer that adds gentle cushioning just below the surface.
- High density polyester support layer. A denser polyester layer that stops you sinking too far into the comfort layers above. It bridges the gap between softness and the support below.
- Triple layer of Graphite memory foam. Three layers of graphite memory foam that mould to your shape and ease pressure at the hips and shoulders. Graphite is added to help the foam manage heat better than standard memory foam.
- Mini comfort springs. Two tiers of mini springs, 2000 on top and 2500 below, which means the mattress responds to smaller movements and adjusts more precisely to your body.
- Traditional pocketed springs. A base of 2000 traditional pocketed springs with full foam encapsulation. Each spring moves independently to support you where you need it, and the foam surround firms up the edges.

The UK king is 15cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double, giving 75cm each, so 7.5cm more per person. You'd need a larger room for it, though: we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king.
Is the UK double long enough for tall sleepers?
The UK double is 190cm long, or 6ft 3in, the same length as the UK single and UK small double. Taller sleepers, or anyone whose feet hang off the end, would gain 10cm of length by moving up to the UK king.
Should a solo sleeper choose the UK double or the UK small double?
The UK double is 15cm wider than the UK small double. That extra width helps if you like to spread out or share the bed with a dog or cat. If your room is tight, the UK small double needs less floor space: we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m.
