Layer Details
- Top Layer. A soft pillow-top layer of plush filling, which means extra cushioning the moment you lie down. It gives the mattress its sink-in, upholstered feel.
- Coolgel. A 3cm layer of coolgel foam that conforms to your body for a personalised feel. It also helps regulate temperature, useful if you tend to overheat at night.
- Soft Foam. 2cm of soft foam sits beneath the coolgel, adding a gentle cushion. It smooths the transition between the comfort layers and the springs below.
- Pocket Springs. 800 pocket springs move independently to follow your body's shape, supporting you where you need it most. This also helps prevent the roll-together effect if you share the bed.
- Mini Springs. An additional 1,200 mini pocket springs sit alongside the main springs for finer, more responsive support. Together the two layers make up the 2,000-spring total.
- Base. A non-slip base gives the mattress additional stability. It helps keep everything in place on your bed frame.
Layer details from sleepsoul.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- More space for each of you: At 75cm each for two sharing, you get 7.5cm more personal space than on the UK double, so elbows and knees meet far less often.
- Quieter nights on different schedules: If one of you rises hours before the other, the independently moving pocket springs help keep that movement on one side of the 150cm width.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, which means a taller partner is less likely to feel their feet reaching the end.
- Room for pillows in pregnancy: When support pillows start filling the bed, the extra width leaves space on the soft pillow-top for both of you, without one partner being pushed to the edge.
- A smaller footprint than a UK super king: We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, a little less floor space than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for the UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and keep bumping into each other on a UK double, one of you finds a 190cm mattress a little short, or your working hours mean one partner gets up while the other is still asleep.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m, or you sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the SleepSoul Heaven 2000 UK king big enough for two people?
For most couples, yes. The UK king gives 75cm each for two sharing, 7.5cm more each than the UK double. If you both sprawl, or a dog regularly joins you, the UK super king gives 90cm each, although it needs a larger room.
Will I feel my partner move on the Heaven 2000 in a UK king?
Less than on a narrower size. The 800 pocket springs and 1,200 mini springs move independently, and the 150cm width puts more distance between you. Yes, a soft pillow-top can let you sink towards each other a little, but the extra width in a UK king gives you room to spread out.
Is the Heaven 2000 UK king long enough for a tall person?
At 200cm (6ft 6in), the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, which is often the real reason taller sleepers upgrade. Sizing up to the UK super king adds no length, because the two sizes are the same length, so choose the UK super king only if you need more width.
Should I get the Heaven 2000 in a UK king or a UK super king?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king and gives 15cm less each, but the length is identical. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king and 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king. If your room is tight, the UK king is the sensible choice.
Will a UK king Heaven 2000 fit in a new build master bedroom?
Often, but measure after the wardrobes are in, because fitted furniture takes up more space than a floor plan suggests. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, with 3.2m x 3.2m comfortable. Compare the retailers listed on this page once you're sure the size fits.
