Layer Details
- Top Layer. A soft pillow-top layer of plush filling, which means extra cushioning the moment you lie down. It gives the mattress its sink-in, upholstered feel.
- Coolgel. A 3cm layer of coolgel foam that conforms to your body for a personalised feel. It also helps regulate temperature, useful if you tend to overheat at night.
- Soft Foam. 2cm of soft foam sits beneath the coolgel, adding a gentle cushion. It smooths the transition between the comfort layers and the springs below.
- Pocket Springs. 800 pocket springs move independently to follow your body's shape, supporting you where you need it most. This also helps prevent the roll-together effect if you share the bed.
- Mini Springs. An additional 1,200 mini pocket springs sit alongside the main springs for finer, more responsive support. Together the two layers make up the 2,000-spring total.
- Base. A non-slip base gives the mattress additional stability. It helps keep everything in place on your bed frame.

- Leaves room for everything else: At 90cm wide, the UK single leaves space for a desk, wardrobe and toy storage, and we suggest a room of at least 2.1m x 2.8m.
- A softer bed for lighter bodies: Children and slim teens put less weight on the pillow-top, which means they're less likely to sink too deeply into the soft/medium surface than heavier adults might.
- Two singles make a flexible guest room: Two UK singles let a spare room sleep friends or siblings separately, and you can push them together when a couple visits.
- Cooler for a warm box room: The coolgel foam layer is designed to draw heat away, which helps in a small bedroom where warm air has nowhere to go.
- Fits a frame you didn't choose: Student rooms and first flats often come with a single frame already in place, and the standard 90 x 190cm size drops straight in.
This size suits you if...
You sleep alone and like a gentle, sink-in feel, or you're furnishing a child's or teenager's room where the bed has to leave space for a desk and storage. It also fits if you're setting up a spare room with two separate beds for visiting guests.
Consider another size if...
You share the bed most nights and need space to move without disturbing each other. We'd recommend the UK double instead: it gives 67.5cm each, and we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the SleepSoul Heaven 2000 UK single too deep for a bunk bed?
It might be. The Heaven 2000 is 30cm deep, which is tall for a raised frame. Bunk, cabin and mid-sleeper frames usually set a maximum mattress depth so the guard rail stays high enough above the sleeper. Check the frame maker's guidance before buying. If 30cm exceeds that limit, this mattress isn't the safe choice for that bed.
Will a SleepSoul Heaven 2000 UK single fit in a small bedroom?
In most cases, yes. The UK single measures 90 x 190cm, or 3ft x 6ft 3in, and we suggest a room of at least 2.1m x 2.8m. In a loft conversion with a sloping ceiling, the narrow footprint lets you tuck the bed along the low wall and keep the taller side free for standing and storage.
Is the Heaven 2000 single long enough for a tall teenager?
The UK single is 190cm long, the same length as the UK double. If your teenager is already tall and still growing, the UK king and UK super king are both 10cm longer than the UK single. The extra length only comes with a much wider bed, though, so first check the room can take one.
Can two people share a SleepSoul Heaven 2000 single mattress?
Not comfortably on a regular basis. The UK single is designed for one sleeper. A child climbing in after a bad dream is fine, but for two adults every night we'd recommend the UK double, which gives 67.5cm each. We suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m for the UK double.
Should I buy two UK singles or one double for a guest room?
Two UK singles are the more flexible option if your guests are often friends, siblings or grandchildren who'd rather not share. The soft pillow-top suits occasional use well. Yes, you can't flip it, but a guest bed sees far less wear than a nightly one. Compare the retailers listed on this page, as prices are updated when retailers change them.
