- Fillings. British fleece wool and hand-teased horsetail blended with Devonshire wool. These natural fibres breathe well and wick moisture, which means a cooler, drier feel through the night than foam-based comfort layers.
- Springs. In the king size, 2030 vanadium steel pocket springs with 6 turns, each housed in a calico pocket. Each spring responds independently to your weight, which means close contouring and less disturbance from a restless partner.
- Cover. A fine quality ticking encases the mattress. It's the finishing layer that holds those natural fillings in place.

- More width each than a double: Compared with a UK double, the UK king gives each sleeper 7.5cm more width, which means fewer elbow collisions and less of a quiet battle for the middle.
- Room for a tall partner to stretch: At 200cm long, 10cm more than a UK double, the UK king lets a partner over six foot lie straight without their feet reaching the end.
- 2030 springs in this size: The UK king holds 2030 individually pocketed springs, which means one of you turning over at 3am sends very little movement across to the other side.
- Split tension is offered: Vispring makes split tension available in the UK king, so if you and your partner disagree on firmness, each half can be built to a different feel.
- Space to change position: If you're pregnant or recovering from an injury, 75cm each leaves room for a support pillow and for shifting position without nudging your partner.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a UK double now feels tight, especially if one of you is tall enough that 190cm leaves your feet at the edge or you keep different hours and want to feel less of each other getting up.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum for the UK king. We'd recommend the UK double instead, for which we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

How many springs are in the Vispring Kingsbridge UK king?
The UK king contains 2030 vanadium steel pocket springs, each with 6 turns and housed in its own calico pocket. Because each spring moves on its own, pressure on one side stays largely on that side, which helps if you and your partner go to bed or get up at different times.
Can you get split tension on the Vispring Kingsbridge UK king?
Yes. Vispring offers split tension on the UK king and the UK super king, so each half of the mattress can have a different tension. The Kingsbridge comes in four tensions, from Soft to Extra Firm. If one of you likes this Medium Firm feel and the other wants something softer, ask the retailer about a split build before ordering.
Is the Vispring Kingsbridge king long enough for someone over 6ft?
At 200cm, or 6ft 6in, the UK king is 10cm longer than a UK double. That extra length is often the real reason tall sleepers upgrade. If one of you regularly finds your feet at the end of a double, the UK king gives you more room to lie straight.
Vispring Kingsbridge king or super king for a couple?
The UK king gives you 75cm each. The UK super king gives 90cm each, so the UK king gives 15cm less per person. The two are the same length. The UK super king needs more floor, though: we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, against 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king.
Will a Vispring Kingsbridge UK king fit a new build master bedroom?
It depends on the room once the wardrobes are in, because fitted storage takes away floor you might have counted on. We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, so measure after the furniture is placed. If you come up short, the UK double needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.
