- Fillings. British fleece wool and hand-teased horsetail blended with Devonshire wool. These natural fibres breathe well and wick moisture, which means a cooler, drier feel through the night than foam-based comfort layers.
- Springs. In the king size, 2030 vanadium steel pocket springs with 6 turns, each housed in a calico pocket. Each spring responds independently to your weight, which means close contouring and less disturbance from a restless partner.
- Cover. A fine quality ticking encases the mattress. It's the finishing layer that holds those natural fillings in place.

Will the Vispring Kingsbridge UK single fit a bunk bed or mid sleeper?
Only if the frame allows a deep mattress. The Kingsbridge is 23cm deep with an extra 6cm of doming on top, which is taller than many raised frames are designed for. Check the frame maker's maximum mattress depth and guard rail height before buying, because a mattress that sits too high reduces how well the rail protects the sleeper.
Can you get split tension on a Vispring Kingsbridge single?
No. Split tension is offered only on the UK king and UK super king, where two people may want a different feel on each side. A UK single has one sleeper, so you choose a single tension from the four available: Soft, Medium, Medium Firm or Extra Firm.
What size bedroom do I need for a Vispring Kingsbridge single?
We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space for a UK single. That leaves room to walk around the bed and open a wardrobe, which matters in a box room or a child's bedroom that also has to hold a desk.
Vispring Kingsbridge single or small double for one adult?
If your room allows it, one adult may prefer the UK small double, which is 30cm wider than the UK single and the same length. We suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for the UK small double. The UK single is the better fit when floor space is tight or the bed is mainly for guests.
Is a UK single Kingsbridge long enough for a tall teenager?
The UK single is 190cm long, the same length as the UK small double and UK double. The UK king is 10cm longer but also 60cm wider, so for a very tall teenager in a small room, check that 190cm leaves enough room at the foot before you commit.
