Layer Details
- Fillings. British fleece wool and hand-teased horsetail blended with Devonshire wool. These natural fibres breathe well and wick moisture, which means a cooler, drier feel through the night than foam-based comfort layers.
- Springs. In the king size, 2030 vanadium steel pocket springs with 6 turns, each housed in a calico pocket. Each spring responds independently to your weight, which means close contouring and less disturbance from a restless partner.
- Cover. A fine quality ticking encases the mattress. It's the finishing layer that holds those natural fillings in place.

- 90cm each for two: Sharing the UK super king gives you each 90cm, which means a restless partner can turn over without you feeling crowded or woken.
- Two feels in one bed: Split tension is offered in the UK super king, which means one of you can have a softer side while the other sleeps on something firmer.
- Room for night-time visitors: When a child wanders in or a large dog settles at the foot, the extra width means nobody ends up clinging to the edge.
- Wider than a king, same length: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king but no longer, so it gains width without pushing further into the room.
- Independent springs across the width: The pocket springs move independently, and on a surface this wide that means movement on one side barely reaches the other.
This size suits you if...
You share with a genuinely restless partner and want real distance between you, your children or dog regularly join you overnight, or you have a large master or period bedroom where a king would look a little lost.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 3m x 2.9m, or the landing and door swing are tight. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

Can I get split tension on a Vispring Kingsbridge super king?
Yes. Split tension is available in the UK super king and the UK king, so couples who disagree on firmness can each choose a tension for their own side. On the UK super king that gives each of you 90cm of your preferred feel.
Is the Kingsbridge super king worth it over the king for a restless partner?
If movement is what wakes you, distance helps more than any comfort layer. The UK super king gives you 15cm more each than the UK king, and it is 30cm wider while staying the same length. The independent pocket springs then absorb what little movement still crosses the bed.
Will a Vispring Kingsbridge super king fit in a loft conversion bedroom?
Only if the usable floor is large enough. We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for a UK super king, and in a loft conversion the sloping ceiling usually decides which wall the headboard can go against. Measure at head height, then check the stair turns before ordering.
Is a super king Kingsbridge big enough for two adults and a child?
For occasional night visits, usually yes. At 180 x 200cm, each adult has 90cm, which leaves space for a small child in the middle without anyone being pushed to the edge. For regular co-sleeping with a large dog as well, you'll still find it roomier than any smaller size.
Do I need deep fitted sheets for a Kingsbridge super king?
You'll want UK super king fitted sheets with deep pockets, because the Kingsbridge is 23cm deep with an extra 6cm of doming on top. Standard shallow sheets can ride up at the corners. For the top of the bed, a 260 x 220cm duvet suits this size.
