- Top upholstery layer. Hand-teased real Shetland wool blended with cashmere and mohair. These fibres are naturally breathable and soft against the body, which means a gentler surface feel and better temperature regulation than synthetic fillings.
- Middle upholstery layer. Hand-opened Austrian Moosburger® horsetail. Horsetail is prized for its resilience, which means it recovers its shape night after night and helps the mattress resist sagging.
- Base upholstery layer. Blended real Shetland wool and cotton. This layer cushions the transition between the soft upper fillings and the springs below, so you feel support without feeling the spring unit itself.
- Spring layer. A two layer hand-nested calico pocket spring construction with 2,812 vanadium steel pocket springs. Two tiers of springs give progressive support, which means a softer initial feel that firms up as you sink in.
