- Top upholstery layer. Hand-teased real Shetland wool blended with cashmere and mohair. These fibres are naturally breathable and soft against the body, which means a gentler surface feel and better temperature regulation than synthetic fillings.
- Middle upholstery layer. Hand-opened Austrian Moosburger® horsetail. Horsetail is prized for its resilience, which means it recovers its shape night after night and helps the mattress resist sagging.
- Base upholstery layer. Blended real Shetland wool and cotton. This layer cushions the transition between the soft upper fillings and the springs below, so you feel support without feeling the spring unit itself.
- Spring layer. A two layer hand-nested calico pocket spring construction with 2,812 vanadium steel pocket springs. Two tiers of springs give progressive support, which means a softer initial feel that firms up as you sink in.

- 90cm each for two: Each of you gets 90cm of width, which means a partner who turns all night stays on their own side instead of nudging you awake.
- All the extra space goes on width: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king at the same length, giving each sleeper 15cm more without taking up extra floor towards the foot.
- Springs that move on their own: Pocket springs respond individually, so on a surface this wide a child climbing in on one side tends to register less on the other.
- Cooler with a crowded bed: When there are extra bodies or a dog under the duvet, the breathable wool-based top layer helps carry away some of the added warmth and moisture.
- In proportion in larger rooms: In a period house or a spacious master bedroom, a UK super king fills the floor sensibly where a UK king can look slightly lost.

For occasional visits, yes. Two adults get 90cm each on a UK super king, so a small child who wanders in can usually fit between you without anyone losing their edge of the bed. If it happens every night, the extra width is what keeps everyone sleeping, which a smaller size can't offer.

The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and both are 200cm long. With two sharing, the UK king gives 75cm each and the UK super king gives 90cm each, so you gain 15cm per person. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king and 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king.
Will a UK super king Vispring suit a loft conversion bedroom?
It can, but the sloping ceiling usually decides which wall the bed goes against. Allow at least 3m x 2.9m of floor with full standing height where you get in and out, and make sure you can sit up at the headboard without hitting the slope. If the usable floor is tighter, the UK king is the safer fit.
Will a restless partner still disturb me on a Vispring super king mattress?
A little less than on any smaller size. With 90cm each, the physical gap between you is the main defence, and the pocket springs move independently rather than as one unit, so movement on one side travels less far. A very active sleeper may still be felt occasionally, but distance helps more than any comfort layer.
What should I measure before ordering a Vispring Magnificence UK super king?
Check that 180 x 200cm can pass through the front door, round any landing turns and past the bedroom door as it swings open. Tight period staircases catch people out at this size.
