- Damask Cover. A durable damask cover in a classic woven design. It's a traditional finish that wears well over time.
- White Fibre Fillings. A lightweight, high-loft filling that holds its shape and is hypo-allergenic, which means it's a sound choice if dust or allergens bother you. It provides the comfort layer between you and the springs.
- Hand-Tufted Layer. Nylon tapes pass through the mattress at regular intervals, secured with cotton tufts on both sides. This holds the fillings firmly in place and contributes to the firmer feel.
- Open Coil Springs. An interconnected spring system arranged in rows from head to toe, each row joined by a spiral helical wire. It's a hard-wearing, durable design, although the connected springs mean you'll feel a partner's movement more than you would with pocket springs.
- Wire Edge Border. A thick rod-edge wire runs around the perimeter springs to reinforce the border. In practice, that means better edge support when you sit on the side of the bed.

- Space that offsets the springs: Open coil transfers more movement than pocket springs, but at 75cm each for two people sharing, a restless partner is simply further away from you.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king suits anyone approaching six foot who finds their feet reaching the end of a standard-length bed.
- Firm support across a wider bed: The hand-tufted, firm build keeps the surface consistent from edge to edge, so neither of you rolls towards the middle.
- Edges you can both use: The rod-edge wire reinforces the border, which means sitting on your own side to dress or ease out of bed without the side sagging.
- Flippable at a manageable size: Being double-sided means even wear over time, and a king is still a size two people can turn together without a struggle.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want more personal space than a UK double gives you, especially if one of you gets up hours before the other. It also suits you if either partner is approaching six foot, since the 200cm length is the quiet upgrade here, or if you both prefer a properly firm surface for back or front sleeping.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested minimum of 2.7m x 2.9m, or you mostly sleep alone. In either case we'd recommend the UK double instead, which keeps the same firm, flippable build in a footprint that leaves room to move around.

Does the Highgrove Cirrus in a UK king reduce partner disturbance?
Partly. The interconnected open coil springs transfer more movement than pocket springs, and no size changes that. What the UK king does change is distance: with 75cm each for two people sharing, a partner shifting or getting up early is further from you, so you feel less of it. If one of you is very restless, sizing up to the UK super king puts 30cm more width between you.
Is the UK king Highgrove Cirrus long enough for someone over six foot?
It's a better bet than the smaller sizes. The UK king measures 150 x 200cm, and that 200cm length gives taller sleepers room without feet hanging off the end. For most people up to and a little over six foot, it's comfortable. If you're well past that, the UK super king shares the same 200cm length but adds width rather than length.
What room size do I need for a UK king Highgrove Cirrus?
We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. That matters in a new build master bedroom, which can feel smaller than the floor plan suggests once fitted wardrobes go in. Measure with the wardrobe doors open before you commit, because a 150cm-wide bed leaves less walking space than you might expect.
How much bigger is the king Cirrus than the double?
The UK king is 15cm wider than the UK double, and at 200cm it's also longer than the double's 190cm. On a firm mattress like the Cirrus, where you sleep on the surface rather than sinking into it, that extra width is space you actually use, because each of you can spread out without meeting in the middle.
Can two people flip the Cirrus in a king size easily?
Yes, and you should. The Cirrus is double-sided, so flipping and rotating it keeps the white fibre fillings settling evenly rather than dipping where you each sleep. A UK king at 150 x 200cm is heavier and more awkward than a double, so treat it as a two-person job, but it's still well within what most couples can manage every few months.
