- 90cm each for two sharing: A super king gives two people 90cm each, which means a restless partner can turn over all night without you feeling it.
- Room for night-time visitors: If a child pads through at 3am, or a large dog treats the bed as routine, 180cm of width means everyone still gets a fair share.
- 30cm wider than a UK king: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and that extra width is entirely usable sleeping space rather than a marginal upgrade.
- Boxed delivery suits this size: Rolled and boxed, the Quebec is far easier to get around a tight landing turn than a rigid 180cm-wide mattress would be.
- Fills a larger master properly: In a big master bedroom or period property where a UK king can look undersized, the super king footprint sits in proportion with the room.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the most space a standard UK size offers, your partner is a genuinely restless sleeper and distance matters more to you than any comfort layer, or children and pets regularly join you and you'd rather plan for that than squeeze around it. Your room should be at least 3m x 2.9m; we suggest around 3.5m x 3.2m for it to feel comfortable.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum, or you'd rather spend less on bedding and bed frames. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which still gives a couple generous room.

Will a super king mattress in a box fit up my stairs?
More easily than a traditional one. The Quebec arrives rolled and compressed, so instead of manoeuvring a rigid 180cm-wide slab around landing turns and door frames, you carry a boxed roll upstairs and unwrap it in the bedroom. Do still check door swing and any tight turns for the box itself before ordering.
How much space does each person get on the Quebec super king?
Two people sharing get 90cm each. That's the figure that makes the super king appealing if one of you fidgets: at this width, movement on one side is much harder to feel on the other, whatever the mattress construction underneath. It also leaves realistic room when a child or dog joins in.
What size room do I need for the Quebec in a UK super king?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels right if you want bedside tables on both sides and space to walk around the bed. In a loft conversion, measure carefully; the slope often decides which wall a bed this size can take.
Is the super king worth it over the king for this mattress?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king. If you sleep undisturbed already and your room is on the smaller side, the UK king is plenty. If a restless partner, children or pets are part of your nights, the extra width does more for your sleep than most spec upgrades would.
What bedding will I need for a 180 x 200cm mattress?
Super king sheets and a 260 x 220cm duvet. One practical caveat at this size: fewer shops carry super king bedding than double or king, and it typically costs more, so factor that into the total price of moving up. The mattress itself measures 180 x 200cm, so standard super king fitted sheets will fit.
