Layer Details
- Cover. A knit cover designed to feel cool and ultra soft, with breathable micro-dots that move air outwards. In practice, that should help the surface stay fresher through the night.
- Emma AirGrid™ Tech. Emma's most advanced AirGrid™ layer, a flexible grid engineered to adapt to your body. It is there for pressure relief, flexing where you press into it rather than pushing back evenly.
- MemoryAdapt layer. This is the layer that gives the first comforting hug, responding to your body with immediate cushioning to relieve pressure. In the Performance 30 it is 4.5 cm thick, deeper than in other models in the range.
- SupportBase. A 6.5 cm foam layer that keeps you supported in every zone, easing strain on sensitive pressure points. It also creates a smooth transition down to the core layers, so you shouldn't feel a sudden change in firmness.
- Zoned pocket springs. Zoned pocket springs add bounce, extra support and stability, which means the mattress responds when you move rather than leaving you feeling stuck. They also reduce motion transfer, a quiet benefit for couples.
- SupportBase. A second foam layer that grounds the zoned spring core and keeps the mattress structure stable. Think of it as the foundation the rest of the build sits on.
- Bottom cover. A simple base cover that keeps the mattress in place on your bed frame.

- Real distance from a restless partner: With 90cm each for two people sharing, a fidgety sleeper is simply further away, which helps more than any comfort layer can.
- Motion transfer damped twice over: The zoned pocket springs are built to reduce motion transfer, and at this width you feel a partner's movement less to begin with.
- Room for the whole household: If children wander in at night or a large dog treats the bed as its own, this is the size where everyone still gets a share.
- Deep cushioning across the full width: The 4.5cm MemoryAdapt layer gives that same enveloping hug at the edges as the middle, useful when three bodies spread across it.
- Fills a large master properly: In a big bedroom or period property where a UK king can look undersized, the UK super king sits in proportion with the room.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want space to sleep genuinely undisturbed, your children or pets regularly end up in with you, or your master bedroom is large enough that a smaller bed would look lost in it. It also suits you if a restless partner has been waking you and you want distance as well as the spring layer's motion damping.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum, or you have tight landing turns that a 180cm-wide mattress won't manage. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which keeps the same 200cm length in a narrower footprint.

Is the Emma Performance 30 super king good for couples with a restless partner?
It is a strong fit for exactly that. The width gives each of you 90cm, so a partner who turns often is further from you all night, and the zoned pocket springs are designed to reduce motion transfer. Between the distance and the damping, most of their movement shouldn't reach your side.
What room size do I need for the Emma Performance 30 in a UK super king?
We suggest allowing at least 3m x 2.9m, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling more comfortable once you add bedside tables and walking space. Measure the room before you order, and check door swings and any landing turns too, since a 180cm-wide mattress is where these start to bite.
How much bigger is the super king than the UK king for this mattress?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, with the same 200cm length. That extra width is the difference between adequate space for two and enough room that a child climbing in at 3am doesn't push anyone to the edge. If your room can take it, the upgrade is mostly about that margin.
Is the Emma Performance 30 super king big enough for a family sharing?
For most families, yes. Two adults get 90cm each, so when a child wanders in there is genuine room to absorb them without anyone perching on the edge. The deep MemoryAdapt cushioning runs the full width, so whoever ends up nearest the side still gets the same enveloping feel.
Where can I check prices for the Emma Performance 30 in a super king?
Use the price table on this page. The prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, so it will always reflect what the UK super king actually costs today rather than a figure that has since moved. Larger sizes are also the ones most often discounted in sales, so it pays to compare.
